1964 Quarter

Hello. I have a 1964 quarter that is smaller than a regular quarter and edges are smooth. It’s also concave and both sides. I’m not sure if it’s an error coin or someone did it on purpose.

Howdy and welcome.
That was done on purpose and some folks call it spooning. In general, you will get responses that will call it PMD, which is shorthand for post-mint damage and this means it was damaged after it left the US Mint and is not considered an error. However, it is still a silver coin and worth about $6 for its bullion value.
In honor of the memory of Cpl. Michael E. Thompson
It looks the the start of a ring.
Spooned. Done on purpose.
Welcome
Caught between fingers and a spoon. Could be accidental.
Thank you! That’s what I was thinking. I have some coins left from a parent that passed away. I’ve been doing research here and there to see what all that I have.
do you have 10 coins? 25? 50? etc
we may can help if it's not too many all at once.
those are decent pictures. in the future, if asked, get good photos of the entire front and back, then any closeups
you can close crop it to remove the borders.
