I'm surprised that there is no thread here for this yet (unless I missed it). The Eagle Privy mark has been announced to follow up from the Star privy mark ASEs from last year. Already dozens of different iterations of labels. Let the fun begin!

You can get them at Pinehurst and bullion Shark at the moment that I know of.

Is this an NGC offering only?

I have a couple raw star privies (in their packaging) from Apmex.

Are the eagle privies also a gamer prize like the first batch of star privies?

P.S. - That looks like Tom Rogers' eagle from the reverse of the Sacagawea Dollar. I wonder if they acknowledged that.

Likely the same as last time with the star privy. Namely, 'Eighth Era/NGC' will get the first 50,000, and the balance will be available through the AP network.

    Edited to add "Eighth Era".

Yes - same - 50,000 NGC slab. the rest 450,000 raw.

The mint will be selling 2 more, look for privy proofs later this year ( navy and marine corps).

I have 2 on Pre-sale right now. They look neat too. To me the eagle privy resembles the Eagle on the reverse of the Sacagawea Dollar.

Not yet - Dealers have to try to sell the slabbed ones first!

Go toCoinNews.net. They have an article about this Eagle privy ASE. They say that Gamers can play a game and become eligible for a free give away. The tournament for qualifying for the give away starts April 7, 2025, check it out. I could have the specifics wrong; I'm not a gamer.

Maybe the privy will have enhanced tail feathers on the first 50,000 !!!! Lol

Not worth buying a coin for just a privy mark. I will stick with the two proof issues and the uncirculated or burnished issue, same as before.

    I'd rather buy cull morgans.

That's nice. Hopefully they'll be like the 2020 W privys.

What about for a mint mark? Isn't that almost the same thing?

Anyone else get a cancellation notice today from the game for the eagle privy’s?

I’m somewhat surprised because I thought they were a main supplier of these coins. Apparently they ran out

Looks more like a Turkey Vulture than an Eagle! But then again Lady Liberty looks like a guy in a lot of designs too! :D

I feel the same about 1916 Merc dimes with the D privy mark.

These privy marked ASE are a good deal at current price ($45 raw) low mintage of 500.000 . If the mint sold these direct to the public the price would be much higher. I will put away a few.

If you say so. I happen to think they are priced right where they should be. Because, if the Mint sold them direct to the public, they would be made with special handling, a special strike and a special finish, come in nice packaging, have ~20% of the mintage, and be priced around twice as high.

Half a million ounces of bullion with a privy really are not worth any more than a 35% premium to spot. Probably not even worth that.

[sarcasm]Super cool[/sarcasm], now you can get one of these with a mint tube cap.

I believe, if I'm not mistaken there is already an eagle on the reverse.
