Don’t do the crime if you can’t pay the time!

Coin and Collectibles Fair does not fool around with folks that steal…
The uniformed armed guards and undercover agents will catch you. You will then be taken on a walk of shame through the bourse and given a free ride plus an overnight stay at the local house of detention!

will the accusers show up in court?
Love the smirk on her face (not). Ya get what you deserve
Good for these folks catching them thieves. Ain't nothing good coming with thieves.
Is”house of detention” an expression known/used outside of the NYC area?

Makes a nice gif loop.....especially the final push by the security officer. 😅
I don't see her as a coin collecting hobbyist.
How about posting the video link WITHOUT having to go through Facebook? I don’t have or want an account.

The video is hosted on Facebook so there is no separate link, it's not like a news article or anything. Being that the forum software doesn't let us post videos, it will have to be a link to somewhere, but I know many collectors use a dummy account on Facebook just for this purpose, without giving away any of their personal info.
The video is very short and doesnt show much, just a woman hootin' and hollerin' while she's walked out by security. The whole video is 4 seconds long. Heres a screenshot.

Even the coin thieves are diversified now a days!
"When they can't find anything wrong with you, they create it!"
Is that one lady handcuffed or just pretending?
"When they can't find anything wrong with you, they create it!"
You can still watch it through the platform.

Was she actually charged and detained or simply asked to leave?
As she was being led out, you can hear her asking if there are any other good coin shows in the area.

No facebook account here either. You can click the link and still watch the video, which I suggest you do. The sound alone makes it worthwhile.
It’s asking me to sign in to my late wife’s Facebook account, without giving me the ability to watch it.
But that’s ok.

Few people with good intentions flash the cash as she does.

Steve, I think that if you click the x on the upper right hand of the login request window, you’ll be able to view the video without logging in. For sound, you might need to unmute it, which, for me, is on the lower right portion of the video window.
At least that’s how it is available on my phone.
Thanks
Was at the show but this happened after I left.
Thanks, but the screen it brings me to has no “x”. It’s only some type of Facebook sign in screen. No big deal.

After watching the video, it seems that:
The OP or video does not state what crime the woman ALLEGEDLY committed. Nor is there any indication actual law enforcement was involved. There was no statement of what she was charged with, what the evidence against her was, or why she was escorted out.
Until such evidence is produced, the law is clear the woman is innocent.
I don't see handcuffs, but could be a nice zip tie cuff. ☺️
There are a lot of these crooks, few get caught:
INVESTIGATING AGENCY: Lynchburg PD
TYPE OF INCIDENT: Theft
DATE OCCURRED: 5/17/25
INCIDENT LOCATION: Lynchburg, VA
SUSPECT ARRESTED
On May 6, 2025 the Numismatic Crime Information Center sent out an alert on the request of the Vienna, VA police department in reference to a $30,000 theft of gold Krugerrands that occurred at a coin show in Vienna, VA on April 27, 2025. The suspects were identified as a male and female in their late 40’s. The suspect vehicle was a white Ford Explorer driven by a third suspect. The alert included suspect and vehicle photos.
NCIC Alert - Sava Casian Booking Photo
Detectives with the Vienna, VA police department advised NCIC that on 5/17/25 the Lynchburg, VA police department arrested a subject identified as Casian Sava (Romanian National) outside a coin show at the Jordan Baptist Church in Lynchburg after he was recognized by another dealer. The dealer notified an off duty Deputy Sheriff working security. Sava, who was there with a female was confronted and both attempted to flee. The female escaped in a white Ford Explorer, but Sava was captured after a foot pursuit. Further investigation revealed Sava was wanted in four different states. The white Ford Explorer was used in both coin show offenses. The investigation is on-going. Sava remains in custody.
My guess is that your device still has a "cookie" from a past log-in to Facebook. If you cleared your internet cookies/files (history) then this issue would probably go away. It might help with other sites, as well.
noneed to clear cookies for everything. you can do it for one site. but the audio isn't spectacular
now, learning to delete cookies for 1 site you might find useful in the future
Thank you both. I agree for this, it’s not worth it to me to clear all cookies. As far as clearing it just for that one site, I’m not tech savvy. When my grandkids talk to me about apps, I think they’re talking about appetizers, lol.

The sign in screen should have an X in the upper right hand corner. Click on it to close the sign in screen and watch the video. Even my 300 YO abacus running Windows 7 shows that and I'm not tech savvy either.
My iPad is NOT showing any “X” anywhere on the screen. No tech knowledge is needed to allow my eyes to work.

She was just upset because she thought her coin was a lock for a Gold Bean
Justice must always be swift, certain and severe. I for one am glad their security and law enforcement is on the ball. Thank you to all who assisted in apprehending the thief, the crook.
And what exactly was she charged with?

It's a fine balancing act between what your instincts are telling you and proper legal procedures. False arrest can be a very expensive mistake as well. Personally on higher risk situations security should have full right to go up to suspicious characters who have no intention of following the rules and ask them to leave. Numismatics is a knowledge intensive field, we also have a lot of precious metals buyers and sellers mixed in which complicates things.
It's a real bill surrounding cut paper (probably).
