Nothing subsided. They limited sales to 1, and it took a few hours to sell 90K, one at a time. That's all.

Nothing subsided, and people will be chasing them at 7:30 every morning until they are all gone.

Won't they need to use another account if the HHL is 1?

HHL still shows is 1 and we're past 24 hours now. Maybe it will be lifted next week?

I know -- I just saw that myself. It's unusual, but give it a little time, since it doesn't matter as long as the product is Currently Unavailable.
If they leave it in place, it will be to give people who missed out a first shot at orders the Mint cancels for violating HHLs before letting the rest of us scoop them up.

Because, after all, when HHLs are lifted after 24 hours, it's usually because they have product available that they want to sell, under the theory that people had 24 hours to make a purchase decision before that time. In this case, that didn't happen, because they sold out in 3.5 hours.

If that turns out that the early sell out was the result of people exploiting a loophole that allowed them to place multiple orders for 1 coin each, and the Mint is determined to cancel those orders and return the coins to inventory, it's only fair to give people a notice via the Remind Me function, and also give them 24 hours to buy one before lifting the HHL.

Basically, TBD, because HHLs are usually lifted after 24 hours, but, then again, most items do not sell out in the first 24 hours. And certainly not with widespread allegations of HHL cheating as we have seen here.

It's usually the next day. Press release said 24 hours. Might be because it's the weekend.

Nah. The weekend might be why the returns were dumped at noon rather than 7:30, but it has nothing to do with the HHL.

We don't usually get releases on Friday, so the weekend is usually irrelevant. But we all know they do product dumps at 7:30 every morning, including Saturday and Sunday. So, it's not that.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the FH gold coins, with their 4 minute sell out, did not see their HHL lifted after 24 hours either, did they? It just might be that they don't lift them from 1 when they have a first day sell out. Because their objective of wide distribution is not achieved under such circumstances.

I admit I wasn't paying close attention. But lifting the HHL on the silver FH medals was understandable because they did not sell out in 24 hours. Do we have any recent examples of anything with a HHL of 1 selling out in the first 24 hours AND having the HHL lifted before the 7:30 dumps?

If you click on the question mark next to "item limits" on the product page it gives detail on implemented, adjusted or removed at the mint's discetion.

You state that like you know. You don't. They released them yesterday because today is a weekend. The answer is (say it with me) we DON'T KNOW why they didn't lift it.

CORRECT. And then I followed up with a question, because I have an idea as to why they didn't lift the HHL.

So, do you have an answer or not, since you seem to know so much? DID THEY LIFT THE HHL ON THE FH GOLD COINS AFTER THE FIRST 24 HOURS??????????

If not, I think I DO KNOW why they didn't lift it. If so, then, yeah, I've got nothing.

I don't know either but there is no HHL on the FH gold now. :) It's likely several thousand of these U.S. Army privy ASEs will be available in coming weeks. It's also likely there will be no HHL in effect. ;)

Yes. I know about the HHL now. But it's moot, because they are Sold Out now.

But I seem to remember the few that dribbled out at 7:30 in the few weeks after release were subject to the HHL. I'm asking if I'm mistaken about that, because that will inform what we should expect here, due to the HHL of 1 and the first 24 hour sell out.

    I bought one yesterday, Friday.
Next week when the 7:30am dumps are expected to occur, can I buy another?

I want a special coin for my Father's WW2 service on Guadalcanal.

He was an Army M.P. and got there long after the fighting was over. He said that his job was to protect the Nurses from the Marines.

The mint is 100% going overboard with all these privy mark coins. I am okay with one once in a while like the 2020 V75 privy marks and the flowing hair ones, but this is getting a little crazy. That laser privy mark doesn't even look like anything special.

  • What is the deal with the Ultra Cameo proof Army privy ASE ?
Public can buy the proof coin directly from the US Mint but are the Ultra Cameo and DCAM versions only available to certain dealers as pre-sale?
(of course the public can buy at retail prices via online dealers)

How many of the Ultra Cameo and DCAM are minted?

    Thanks
