Genuine Coin - from Stacks/Bowers & Merena

Hopefully the listing gets removed. Did anyone try to contact the seller?
I did, twice and no response.
The "Report Item" link on eBay's webpage no longer functions. I was able to report it through my phone's eBay app.
Ugh. I wonder what percent of eBay sellers in this situation are fully aware they are passing off a fake.
this seller has sold 5 1889-CC Morgans - there were 2 pairs with the same cert number!
this seller has cost "winners" $10,709 so far!

eBay is getting as bad as Facebook with letting scammers get away with whatever they want. AI is going to be the downfall of us all. Seems the major companies rely on AI to make decisions with the majority of the ones I’ve seen being WRONG. 😏
Anyone think of contacting the Federal Trade Commission about what Ebay is doing? They went after one of the TPGS a while back didn't they?
there is a "Circle with a Question Mark" in the lower right corner of desktop browsers. that is the new "click here" to start reporting an item
on mobile there is the ellipsis "..." at the top to click. i've never used mobile, but i hear it's at the top
Report sent to eBay with the genuine pics attached.
Contacted the seller and told them to remove it and go away, and that they are a disgraceful fraud.
He's scamming with the Morgans too.
Edit for eBay's answer: "We looked into your report and didn’t find the listing to be in violation of our policy. This determination was made using automation or artificial intelligence."
So they didn't even want to look at the pics I sent to compare?
Ok.
my rejection email said ai too
Funny how eBay is allowing this because if the buyers use PayPal and the item is fake, they can request a refund for a fraudulent transaction/product. It is costing eBay/PayPal a LOT with the lowlifes that are doing this stuff….if the buyers are smart enough to find out they are buying counterfeits.
looking at the sellers' feedback, many buyers are leaving positive feedback
Sometimes the feedback is left by the shills that have won the auction. The sale is cancelled, then the item is relisted. Rinse & repeat.
Unscrupulous sellers have shill buddies, and that explains the sale of two identical items. Eventually a non shill will bite, and buy the coin.
Round and round we go, where it ends will never know 😕
these items are the same cert numbers but different counterfeit holders and counterfeit morgans
we need more reports
as burfle23 posted on his thread, there have been bid retractions. as of now 3 retractions and the current is $6100
keep reporting!
Time left: 1 day 13 hours 59 mins
west coast's time!
And only $4.15 to ship.
Looking for PCGS AU58 Washington's, 32-63.
Time left: 15 hours 46 mins 26 secs
did everyone get the "ai decision" rejection email?
Yes.

No -
What happened:
We looked into your report and didn’t find the listing to be in violation of our policy. This determination was made by a customer service agent.
If you reported content that isn’t listed below, we’ll send a separate email once we’ve made a decision.
Has this item disappeared off the “ended” watch list for anyone else? It also doesn’t appear when you filter on sold items for the seller which made me hope that the sale had been cancelled yet the listing still shows as sold when you click on the link at the top of this post.
good catch
i have the listing in a tab and it says sold
when looking at the seller's completed and active listings, it is nowhere
it allowed me to report it again. i think they are holding up the auction payment until the buyer leaves positive. i think.
i think if it were truly deleted then it wouldn't take another report.
try reporting it again and give a detailed explanation
Sold for $8114.
Greysheet bid/ask: $8600/11000
i can't believe it didn't get yanked. i reported it again post-close and got the ai response
we ! us ! pounded that thing. it should have disappeared
Anyone know what the removed content was?
I posted something and then deleted it. I don't even remember what it was that I posted.

i try and try to get others involved. this most recent 1916-d dime was very discouraging to me. now the seller has a new counterfeit up. the seller has sold over $18,000 of counterfeits and an easy one we couldn't do
i'm going to keep trying. i really hope the forum masses continue too.
