Pie crimper, sometimes you can find them with wooden handles still attached!
Nowadays, I couldn't imagine using a dirty brown coin for food processing.

I think we should keep in mind that when they were used it was likely with contemporary coinage and that it would have again likely been washed or cleaned or cared for like any other kitchen utensil. So, I doubt it was dirty or corroded when in use, it was simply another metal utensil.

You can wash your pie crimper. It doesn't have to be dirty
Or you can buy a brand new pie crimper. And use dollar bills to dry the dishes.

Pie edge cutter. Decorative piece. Maybe.

Pie crimper.
I’ve seen a few of those (usually Large Cents) at coin shows over the years…always thought they were really cool. 😎
Dave
Charmy would love that, nice pie cutter
Here's some of my pie crimpers that I've collected over the years. They're all made with a coin. I've added several more since this picture was taken.
I love all of them!

I would pass on this coin, there is a large hit right before liberty next to the head.....
When that pie crimper was made, the cent probably was brand new and federal dollar bills didn't exist.
