First Coinstar finds in a long dry spell

Like many here, I always check the "reject" receptacle on the Coinstar at the grocery store. Pickings have been nil for a few weeks. Today there were two Lincolns. Nice original surfaces, a 1918 that was a solid F and a 1930 in about-VF. I'll bet there were a lot more wheatbacks that made it through the machine sort and were accepted. Makes me wonder what the original dump contents were.

I started looking about a year ago and have found a silver quarter and 3 silver dimes plus other misc coins.
I found 3 1943 steel cents this week! Those are always fun and Coinstar always rejects them!
I found a lot of good silver before then, so I guess I should be happy for less competition.
My best score was almost $14 face in 90% silver, and it was several years ago when silver was at an historic high.
More recently I found a handful of half dollars at the bank's machine, most of which were 40% silver.
Coin machines are often a better opportunity to find silver than roll searching.
picked out a 64 d kennedy half dec 2023 out of a coin star as well. what a dumbfounded look (with a smile) i had . congrats on the find to of yours
