I'll go first.
Saw this beauty of a specimen at the World's Fair of Money 2018.
Possibly the most ugly coin I've ever seen:

One ugly. One beautiful.
I'll allow you to determine which is which.

Ladies and gentlemen, feast your eyes on this exquisitely weathered 1928 commemorative half dollar—an absolute gem if your gemologist moonlights as a horror novelist! Just look at that dark, mottled finish—nature’s own attempt at abstract art. Speckled like a Jackson Pollock painting left out in a thunderstorm! You won’t find another quite like it… mostly because coins in this condition are usually politely escorted to the recycling bin. But hey—why settle for mint state when you can own a piece of history that looks like it survived history? Bidding starts at “why not,” do I hear a dollar?

It’s a true shame most of the Matte Proof gold out there has been stripped.
No picture but at an auction preview seen a 1616 Sommer islands sixpence. Ugly, yet beautiful (and expensive$$$$$)
Beautiful to a toddler, ugly to a collector.
