1924 P Lincoln Wheat Cent

Hi all,
I have this is a PCGS slab which I sent out myself. I paid around $6.50 on eBay auction.
What do you think they ended up giving it. Photos are accurate to in hand appearance.
Best regards

I was thinking 64RB... but I see your point. I think it straight-graded, but the carbon spots are going to limit the grade.

64RD and a nice one. The spots hold it back. Nice Pickup, when you can grade copper from photos you can get some steals off of Ebay.

64 RD or RB depending on how it looks in-hand.

Select Uncirculated. That would be MS 62. If it didn't have the carbon spots, I could go choice uncirculated for this piece. But really, the grade is limited to "select" by the spots, in my opinion. I do not like to see carbon spots on pennies. If I graded pennies at PCGS, after a short time there would be calls for my ouster by many a disgruntled penny collector.

If a picture wasn't going very well I'd put a puppy dog in it, always a mongrel, you know, never one of the full bred puppies. And then I'd put a bandage on its foot... I liked it when I did it, but now I'm sick of it.

I like it at 64 RD but wouldn't be surprised with a 65 RD

I’ll guess 64RB, though I can’t tell whether the apparent RB reverse is just due to the lighting
Even the obverse looks RB in one picture but RB in the other.

I don’t like carbon spots either, but the grading companies aren’t as hard on them as your assessment would indicate.

Seems like the fields and devices are mark free. This coin could go MS65RD.
A great purchase for $6.50! This is why I never list auctions on eBay.

    @thebeav
I've had people complain about not giving enough time to guess before revealing the grade.
Appearance is as it is in hand.
Most of y'all were right on the money or close to it.
I was thinking there was a good shot at 64RD

I was torn between 64RD and 64RB looking at your photos. For the price you paid I would be very happy with your results.
