Saw a Fake 1916-D Dime in a Fake PCGS Slab This Morning

The listing was marked as no longer being available when I first saw it, and now I can’t find it at all, so hopefully it got reported and nuked.
But I do like to post these when I see them, just to keep them out in the open. Plus, it might help out a newbie who’s googling around for info on such things.
There are the obvious problems with the holder. And there’s the classic low-feedback seller account. But what most amused me was the cert pointing to a 1944 peso.

Thank you for the post; the seller seems to have nothing going on currently and no sold history I can find. Pretty odd cert to use for this one
!
It's gone, fwiw 👍
That was stated in the opening post, FWIW.

Fwiw, BFD
It’s a shame you feel that way. I was hoping that by letting you know that the OP had already mentioned “The listing was marked as no longer being available when I first saw it, and now I can’t find it at all, so hopefully it got reported and nuked.”, it might encourage you to read the posts you’re replying to. Oh well.

One of my local coin shops has two fakes in fake pcgs holders. Looks the same with no pcgs embossed on the front just like this they seem to be everywhere. .
The generational beef has begun.

Seller stated "A buyer was able to tell me that the slab didn’t match up with pcgs , and that the coin had an added D"...
Close! But not exactly the treasure you were looking for.
Forgive me I have sinned by double checking, oh well, move on
