    I have tried making threads and i have posted some new items in their proper ongoing threads, but its a complete waste of time when you get zero replies and only a like from JMS1223 & JBK, it's like "why bother".

    So, I stopped posting. I just talk to JMS1223 via PM.

    I'm not sure if I ever got a signed photo from Ruth Buzzi but a year or two ago I did get back a sketch by her of her character "Gladys".

    Retired Supreme Court Justice David H. Souter, the New Hampshire Republican who served 20 years on the bench, has passed away at age 85. I got a presumably authentic autographed photo from Souter in 1998.

    AFAIK Souter never used an autopen, so it's real.

    After he left the SC he stopped most TTM autographing, but he did reply occassionally to letters. I got a few nice replies that way.

    Baseball Hall-of-Famer Dave Parker passed away today at age 74, as the Pirates announced just prior to the start of today’s game. The sad news comes less than a month before Parker was officially set to be inducted into Cooperstown, as Parker and Dick Allen (like Parker, a former MVP and seven-time All-Star) were voted into the Hall by the Era Committee last winter.

    Former Massachusetts Congressman Barney Frank passed away earlier today at age 86. I got his autograph on a program from an ADA function here in Philadelphia back in 1998.

    Barney Frank was an old school politician. For most of his time in Congress his letters sent in response to people were actually hand-signed. He also would write actual responses and not just send form letters.

    By coincidence I had sent him a request couple weeks before he entered hospice care. I haven't heard back and don't expect to at this point.
