i want it for the classic cardboard sleeve with clamshell case
someone front me $59,360,000 so we can corner the market on these
Per the Mint Website: "To complement its handsome design, the coin is encapsulated and then placed in a stylish clamshell and classic black presentation case with the United States Mint seal on the lid. The case fits into an outer sleeve with a beautiful gold foil image of the American Buffalo. It also includes a certificate of authenticity with matching imagery."
where's that 2025 age thread. i want to see sales updates
They don't LOOK like proofs...the fields are full of ridges....cuts down on the Ultra or Deep Cameo look.
25% premium to gold -- is that normal for a new release ? I bought a 2015 AGE Proof UC at FUN 2020 and paid under a 10% premium I believe.
It is truly a work of numismatic art. I love the look of those field 'ridges.'
From the Mint's Image Library.....
When I think of all the other great stuff I could buy for $4240....
aight bet
Thanks for asking, Bully! And feel free to post some past TruView PCGS issues of yours…
I believe I have purchased my share of gold buffaloes from MS to Proof to Reverse (fractional and otherwise) so I will let others grab their high-dollar share.
How is gold buffalo so expensive? It doesn't even have a privy.
dcarr can rig you a punch to make a brasher buffalo
no thanks
Might I suggest this will be the new key date for a mere $4240
For that price, they could have included a privy mark. Pass.
Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.

It'll be interesting see what these sell for in the secondary market in their MS69 PCGS slabs.

My head is spinning just reading that spin from the USM!
Yes these are expensive especially from the USM. I used to get every issue of these on the secondary marke, though I gave that up since the sheer numbers along with the games played by the USM especially since 2020 makes it-for me at least-too expensive to pursue all of them. With some issues have more than ten one ouncers of gold, platinum and palladim in a single year I have pretty much kicked my purchase into neutral just for the sheer cost let alone 'collecting these. I notices in an auction venue that I use often, one of the 'key' one ounce AGE's in PR 70 FS went for considerably less than the new issues from the USM. I believe few are attempting to add to year sets. Sure am thankful for the stash I accumulated the last few years including the spouse issues, the unwanted red headed bastard child of them all!
I wish I still owned her.
Phil did a great job on the TrueView.

Mintage: 18,863
PCGS Price Guide: $4,600
I'll have 3 Gold Proof Buffalos for sale at the Philly Expo, different date but less money than the 2025 mentioned above... hope to see some forum members at the show...
No interest in these whatsoever. Gold is not my thing. Too much of a premium to boot.
To each his own but there’s no way I would ever pay $4240 (with gold at $3350) for a one ounce modern gold coin. I don’t care how beautiful it is.
I doubt anyone will post their Mint Order #'s here. It would be interesting to see how many die hard modern gold collectors are continuing the journey. Hopefully we'll see a couple.
21-23 ~10k flat
24 - uh-oh we haven't found a bottom
looks like the advanced releases were really advanced
I have it, but can think of better things to spend it on. Pass.
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

I get one every year.
This one will hurt.
Raufus, you are the Chuck Norris of high dollar Mint purchases!
Lol, Miles!
This one really hurts. I clearly need counciling.
Even if I were a young, techno billionaire I'd never pay such premiums for such an over priced golden Buffalo.
OK, maybe if I was a young , techno billionaire I would but I'd cut it off after a few dozen.
Think of it as cost averaging and you'll feel better.
Are they (the mint) projecting what the spot price of gold will be later in the year?
So that's what we can expect to pay for the 2025 high relief gold.
Throw a coin enough times, and suppose one day it lands on its edge.
probably a bit more due to design costs
It should be the same. They use the same formula to price all the gold issues.
I gave up on the mint's new offerings, especially with these "special" presentation cases....I mean, WHO really leaves them out and presents them?
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
also note the premiums
Amazing performance for gold.
considering the markup on the buffs, i'm thing prep for them adds to the cost. polishing a wavy die. perhaps the die relief and packaging and design costs are lumped for the 2023 liberty coin
