SF shop owner Witter Coin to give away $25,000 worth of rare coins in weekend scavenger hunt

For a second year, a San Francisco shop owner is giving away rare, collectible coins and two other historical items in a scavenger hunt. He will post clues on his social media account starting at 7am on Sunday. He will be adding the location of each coin hourly.

Beginning at 7am this Sunday, we will release a clue as to where one of the 12 coins are hidden in San Francisco.

    US Coins and Jewelry just did a similar giveaway in Houston by hiding various coins around town and dropping video hints.

    Various dealers around the country did this for National Coin Week that ended yesterday. Several Seattle dealers did the same a few years ago.

    Took Amtrak last week and it was waaaaaaaaaaaaay cheaper than it had been in the past on the same route, so that's an option.
