Shipping Scam: "Undeliverable due to Incomplete Address"
resized.jpg)
Hello Everyone... I don't know if others are getting these spam messages too, but I've been getting messages (ostensibly) from USPS stating that "my package is undeliverable because of an incomplete address" and they provide a link in the message. Obviously, don't click on the link!! I don't even open them anymore but I'm curious to find out how they got my cellphone number. Oddly, I was receiving packages through ebay and Amazon transactions as late as last week so it could have been picked up through one of those vendors... fun times ! Be safe out there...

I've been getting those for years. Just ignore them all.
Thanks for the heads up. Yeah... that is one that makes no sense when you think about it... if a package is undeliverable... return to sender time!
Interesting... I guess my phone number must have just made it to the dark web and some Rando-scammer bought it... :-/

With the ability for recorded messages and automated calling, I would suspect that your number needn't be on any list. Rather, vast arrays of numbers are chosen to be called and the scammers are simply looking for the one in one thousand hit.

Many are also text and emails. The Illinois Tollway scam is running strong too. The scary thing about that one is they hit you after you've driven on an Illinois Toll-road. Are they are tying your license plate from a reader into an unlisted cell phone number or is there internal corruption in Illinois (perish the thought!) selling your info? I pay the tolls online after receiving their (legitimate) invoices then get inundated with texts on unpaid Illinois tolls!
This is a PSA. Now back to your regularly scheduled Numismatic Forum.
Many scams out there. Be very vigilant! The USPS and Tollway one's are very prevalent.
It's funny that the USPS doesn't have my complete address, but they would have my e-mail and phone number.

Never get them, but then I don't have a cell phone......that's the connection.

Funny you mention the Tollway scam... I was getting those last year after I moved my daughter back to Chicago. It was super annoying...

Exactly what I was thinking when I got the first one a couple of days ago... I've gotten 3 just today!
