Which Sheldon is this 1794 Head of 1793 Large Cent?

I am fairly certain it is the S-17a but just wanted to confirm with the experts here. I don't know the difference between the 17a and the 17b. Thanks guys!

What makes you "fairly certain" it is an S-17a when you also state you "don't know the difference" between the 17a and 17b?

I am fairly certain that it is the 17a because the 17b is an extremely rare coin worth tens of thousands of dollars. They look very similar and I am unable to tell the difference between the two varieties.
There are many other Sheldon numbers for the Head of '93. I narrowed it down to the S-17 but can't tell the difference between A and B.

Ahhhh, that makes sense.
Analogist to, "if you hear hoofbeats, think horses, not zebras."

17a and b have the same obverse and reverse, the difference is the edge lettering and design.
So without seeing that, I can’t discern the difference either 😊😉
@Walkerguy21D Haha that would make sense as to why I saw no difference! Thank you!

I remember having a discussion about the leaf on the edge pointing up or down on another coin years ago. I didn’t realize that each Head of ‘93 variety has both an A and B because of the leaf pointing a different way. Here’s a picture of mine. It looks like it’s pointing down, so this would be a 17a, right?

From what I can tell, I think yes.
It also looks like it has the smaller, wider spaced letters as well.
@Walkerguy21D thank you! I truly appreciate the help.
