Well that went over well lol. Not much interest in these types I guess.

Sometimes these type of Exonumia medals go beyond a label of condition and are fascinating on their own- regardless of a grade/number identifier.
    Your's is such an item.
If forced, I'd state it is a strong UNC (62)

So, what is that a cud at 9-10? I think it is a neat medal. Do you have anymore info, any history as too the Die sinker and Engraver?
I have never seen one before. As a cabinet piece MS61.

I used to collect Naval Medals (as defined by Julian). Never got to own a Truxton, since none that met my standards ever presented themselves. Would have loved to own that one, congrats!

I like it! Is it an original mint strike? Love the patina too. I read that the dies were used again in 1860. Maybe due to popular demand.

I feel a 62, with the cabinet wear. A very likeable medal, especially with the die piece(CUD?). As others have stated, the color is grand also.

I knew exactly what scene was going to be depicted when I read your title. The piece looks fabulous.

What a fascinating collecting theme. Love the rich patina on early medals.
