All I see related to clashed dies is lots of heavy die polish in front of the portrait on the obverse and the corresponding area of the reverse.

  • What's the definition of a die clash. I'm under the impression that a die clash is when dies clash together without a planchet between them.

  • causing a transfer of a mirror image.

  • I don't see it.

I interpret the heavy polish as being a repair to the die after a clash in order to reduce or obliterate previous damage.

  • Why is this an example of a Die Clash no PCGS. I have never seen a true example of a die clash. Where do I look for a die Clash pic. 1963 50C Obv Die Clash FS-402, FBL (Regular Strike)

I sent you a picture of a true die clash in the link above. It looks like this.

  • Why does PCGS have both Bugs Bunny and Die Clash separate? Their pics do not show anything. All the pics I see online show diffenent Points for These varieties. Are die clash and bugs bunny the same? The Pics on PCGS do not show anything close to your pic. What the diffenence between Bugs Bunny and Die Clash? Most certified Die clash coins I see do not show anything that ressembles Die clash Variety. Getting back to my original picture from PGCS that I posted. This pic is supposed to be a "1963 50C Obv Die Clash FS-402, FBL"

A Bugs Bunny is a Die Clash.

  • PCGS shows both separately.

[This link] will provide you with a visual about where to look for clash marks.

I'd like to find one that shows a "bell halo" around Franklin's head.

Don’t I see part of the Liberty Bell’s wooden yoke in front of Franklin’s face on the obverse and the bottom of his bust above the bell’s yoke on the reverse. Or am I just seeing things? Zack.

  • Don't see it.

It’s the booger in the nose near the upper lip in the original post.

I think you've found the reason I actively stay away from "Bugs Bunny" Franklins.
