Sergio - coinfacts is a good place to read about each coin. you'll also want to combine that knowledge with photograde

I started in this hobby way back in 1974 filling Whitman blue boards and later folders with coins similar to this. And I still have every single coin and folder. To me, these are priceless. Meaning, they are far more valuable than ANY other coin in my collection (hoard as I call it), several of which being gold. So for someone to slam a new collector, saying it's only worth face value, is extremely disheartening not to mention destructive to the future of this hobby. Perhaps the fascination of fancy stickers and labels is your reason. Or at least that seems where your collecting truly lies.

Sergio, keep it. It's beatiful in it's own way and perhaps one day you'll see as much.

I see nothing wrong in telling someone who’s asked for feedback, that their coin has no extra value. It might be “priceless” to the owner, but that’s a separate matter.

Worth 25 cents - no need to go any further with your sales ambitions.

Friend, why do you say that? I've seen coins auctioned for $10,000, and you're telling me that. I have more than a thousand coins from all over the world. I think I have some chance. Thanks for your opinion and support.

I wish you well, but I do not support your plan for selling coins. You seem not to have any knowledge or made any genuine effort to learn on your own, and it is not sustainable for you to ask the Forum for valuation opinions on a thousand coins.

Have you paid $10,000 for any of your coins? If not, I see no reason for you to believe that any of them would be worth that amount. The coins you've shown are coins that no one would buy because they are worth face value.

I guarantee I have many good ones, and I haven't bought any of them. I inherited them uncirculated from everyone.

You specified that your intention is to sell coins, and the coins you've shown so far are not sellable.

It's a common, moderately circulated 1966 and has no value beyond face value (25 cents). There were 821,101,500 of them minted, so they're not rare at all. I can find a comparable coin in my change jar.

If it was a nice, uncirculated MS63, it would be only worth $1-2, and some of that price would be for supplies and handling fees. Why would you think this coin would be desirable to coin collectors other than as a hole filler?

I suggest purchasing a Redbook, buying some coin folders, filling them, and by doing so, learning which coins actually have value. That's how many of us started out with coins.

Worth 25c as per above advice, not worth using a 50c stamp to mail it in an envelope.

Good luck with your other coins up for sale friend. No Mintmark, yeah they are collectable errors alright.
PS: You might want to use a different fabric background next time you post a pic here.

$1,200 for common clad quarter...but you won't eat the $3.96 shipping? I tried to make an offer commensurate with the coins value, but eBay won't let me send an offer of (-$3.71)

    ???

He's saying it is worth 25 cents but with shipping at $3.96 he's be paying $3.71 more than it's worth. So he wants to offer negative $3.71 so the total cost for the coin would end up being 25 cents.

    It was a joke.

I apologize for me and other members of material wealth around whom the earth revolves for the feelings of inferiority you share to the forum with the curiosity of none.

come on stick around and chat

go to photograde and look at the grade for your quarter. find the quarter in coinfacts and look down below for closed auction prices. you'll see the high grade quarters sell for a lot and worn quarters not.

do this for all of your coins

finding a rare quarter worth 10000 is remotely possible, but so is the lottery
