2026 Blue Book Changes?

All the talk about the 2026 Red Book makes me wonder things about the upcoming 2026 Blue Book. Like

Release date (Whitman web site says 5/2025, Amazon says 10/25)
Price source (new Red Book uses GreySheet CPG, will new Blue Book use GreySheet bid?)
Any other features that can be talked/teased about 😉

We haven't discussed the Blue Book much.

Release date is: 5/6/25 (we will look into the Amazon mis-statement)
The pricing is based on Greysheet values (they are not = greysheet but based on them).
Black and white vs color (Red Book)
Same entries as Red Book but no catalog (GSID) #'s

Pardon my ignorance but what's the need for the blue book?

I simply use my CDN app which is real-time which has CDN Bid / CPG Retail. I do have a CDN CPG hard copy so can just offer pct of that, etc. But no pressing need for blue book - offers I make based mainly on what believe can sell it for. One might have blue book for handy reference. Jimmy uses bluebook for estates then might adjust bottom line number (offer) up (competition from other players) or discount down (lots of junk, crap stuff). If I have to go into a bank vault with seller to make quick assessment take blue book. Then quickly fill out inventory list accordingly for offer calculation. Then gut feel hedge up or down after analyzed all the numbers later.
