NEWP: Has anyone seen an elongated coins other than a cent?

I recently purchased an elongated 1929 Standing Liberty Quarter with J.H. Cline's advertising from the 102nd ANA Convention 1993. I don't recall seeing other elongated coins besides cents. How about you?

    Yes, I've seen most or all current denominations used.

    The machines you see at tourist sites are almost always for cents, but people who do them privately often use other denominations, as well.

    1893 Chicago World's Fair has numerous denominations and countries - I have even seen gold from that inaugural event for the elongation machines

    the idea against melting is to keep coins in circulation and not melted for profit

    novelty stuff is allowed if not a high quantity.

    not a non-cent but did a canadian cent once. very disappointed it didn't have enough oxidation and grime to make the canada part discernible

    i tried a 1NT coin from Taiwan but it wouldn't feed right and had to stop

    nope. It was a liberty quarter. eagle from 1901 or so i believe

    From the Space Needle in Seattle, in 2019. Made from 2000 New Hampshire state quarter.

    They also had a penny smasher, and I got one of those too, not the same design.

    @MsMorrisine same here when younger, always pennies, you could get some good candy for a nickel back then. If the train was going fast, the coin would move on the rail and get little to no effect. But if it was going slow, you got a nice flattened penny.

    I’ve had Indian and Wheat cents, Liberty and Buffalo nickels, and Barber and Mercury dimes elongated with my clan badge crest.

    They are archived on the Token Catalog site. Currently the only ones I’m distributing are the Buffalo nickels. I had 400 of those made in 2023.
