Could this old soapbox 1892s ef45 Morgan be a ddo?
I looked on vam world and I am not sure. The 8 doesn't look doubled to me but the 9 and 2 has something going on.
Any ideas?
I have never sent for pcgs crossover an old anacs soapbox holder but considering this coin was probably graded over 40 years ago and if the feedback I receive to this post believes it is a ddo, then I think I would.

Could be a VAM, is not a DDO.

I seriously doubt this will cross at 45. I would leave it as is.

I don't have the vampire book. If ya know some one who has a book, check it out 🙂
Ill look as well
Don't think its either the Vam2 or 7. Should see some easily doubling in the top part of the 8 and the down doubling knob on the 2. The wear is a 45 easily but looks dipped heavily from photos.
From the photos the coin looks cleaned.
Is it an RPD?

Check out Vamworld.com and look through the varieties. I'm sure it's there.

@Ppp what do you think a DDO is? What specific ways does this coin match your definition?
(There is nothing in your pictures that even hints at a DDO, so you must be referring to something different from the rest of us.)
Looks rather harshly cleaned from photo. Seems quite fortunate to be straight-graded in an old ANACs holder.

Thank you for your comments. I did look on vamworld. I too think the coin looks cleaned and ef45 was a generous grade. I stated that the 9 and the 2 looked as if something was going on. Maybe it isnt a ddo but an RPD or some type of damage or nothing, or……… thats why I created this post.
Based on the comments i will keep the coin the way it is.
Thank you again.
