I'm going with 1927-D
1923D
I saw a 22 appear and disappear a couple of times.

Pretty exciting stuff. I almost fell out of my chair when the subject coin in the video was flipped over to reveal a stunningly slick reverse.
“I believe in intuitions and inspirations. I sometimes feel that I am right. I do not know that I am. When two expeditions of scientists, financed by the Royal Academy, went forth to test my theory of relativity, I was convinced that their conclusions would tally with my hypothesis. I was not surprised when the eclipse of May 29, 1919, confirmed my intuitions. I would have been surprised if I had been wrong.”

It's funny how the mind works. When I read this statement I immediately thought of this song (anyone else?):
Lyrics
When I saw you standing there
About fell off my chair
And when you moved your mouth to speak
I felt the blood go to my feet
Now it took time for me to know
What you tried so not to show
Something in my soul just cried
I see the want in your blue eyes
Baby, I'd love you to want me
The way that I want you
The way that it should be
Mmm, baby, you'd love me to want you
The way that I want to
If you'd only let it be
You told yourself years ago
You'd never let your feelings show
The obligation that you made
For the title that they gave
Baby, I'd love you to want me
The way that I want you
The way that it should be
Mmm, baby, you'd love me to want you
The way that I want to
If you'd only let it be
Now, it took time for me to know
What you tried so not to show
Something in my soul just cried
I see the want in your blue eyes
Baby, I'd love you to want me
The way that I want you
The way that it should be
Mmm, baby, you'd love me to want you
The way that I want to
If you'd only let it be
Oh baby, I'd love you to want me
The way that I want you
The way that it should be
Mmm, baby, you'd love me to want you
The way that I want to
If you'd only let it be

No. The grade was already given: PO1.

PO01 is a coin where you can determine a date and mm
basal state 00 - are the ones you can't
it is basal state and not a lowball - junk silver
no, i don't think i work for anacs, ngc, or pcgs
y'all must all be coin buyers. as a seller I'm sure I see > @MsMorrisine said:
I'm just reporting what was on the slab I cracked it out of. It was in a gen7 ANACS if I remember correctly.

but what overton?
It looks li8ke a very circulated Daniel Carr overstrike.
My guess would be 22D. I felt I could see a 2nd 2 for a brief moment 2 different times. Not that it really matters.

perhaps dcarr is over-striking with po01 dies
what makes you think that? where are you seeing designs of the undertype???

Not that it really matters, considering the poor state of preservation, but I’m pretty sure it’s 1964.

Geezzz, what's up with Ike dollar collectors on this forum? I must be cursed. My post was an attempt at humor. It's a JOKE - just like some of the other responses.
However, I did learn something here from @MsMorrisine after I did some research. According to Sheldon, the number "1" is assigned to a BASAL STATE COIN which may not have a visible date. So, this is a basal State-1 Peace dollar. For a while after Sheldon. Basal State was changed to Poor and the date was not required to be present. Sometime before the ANA Grading Guide was published in the 1970's (1960-1969?) a coin graded Poor-1 needed to have a date although it could be virtually worn away. That's where it stands today: The date and mintmark must be visible on a P-1 coin.
Therefore, if the coin was cracked out of a P-1 slab, the OP's coin was over graded,. I was also wrong by agreeing with the P-1 grade. Thanks @MsMorrisine. I love this place.
So, ALL dateless buffalo nickels and ALL dateless standing Liberty quarters are automatically basal state coins?

you're right
for instance, there are easy things that show the first year of issue. (mint?)
i guess that sweeping statement was wrong
i'll change it to if a date and mint cant be determined ...
I'd agree, yet the center doesn't appear to be chocolate.

Right. The date needs to be readable to be graded PO01.

That's right. And that's why I say let Nic-a-date be your friend and try and chase away those basal state blues.

I love it when a coin collector comes up with a general rule they believe should be applied to all.

Had this come into the shop while I was still working I would have thrown it into the melt bin.
yes I never claimed it was worth anything other than melt. Its just a test of my video format to see if maybe just the right angle and light might show the date.

It does look like 22 for a minute, but in that early point of the video where the coin lays down flat, you can see the three 1923.
Seems like that is the remains of an NGC slab holding that Peace dollar.
