    There were no Mercury dimes in 1878/1879, So, no dates nor overdates then.
    Countereights=counterfeits?
    Mercury=Morgans?

    I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

    Maybe you’re thinking of an 1879/8 nickel, but there’s no 1878/9.

    Edited to add: I see that you’ve changed your thread title but not the 1878/9 part of your initial post. This has been a very confusing thread.

    Sorry guys I wasn't aware this information was out there.
    I was in a rush to see if it were a known error and if it demands a profit. Usually I do my research but didn't have time.
