Unfortunately it's not just Ebay. My social media accounts are bombarded with ads showing Proof ASE's, buy two get one free etc. I like to read the ads for a laugh and to keep abreast of current scams. There are video ads showing PCGS slabs of Proof ASE's with the same ridiculous ask. God only knows what the people end up getting but I predict many unhappy heirs in the future.
Since eBay allowed their direct reporting group lapse recently it has become a larger cesspool than ever. I just go there now for counterfeit research.
I rarely report now but have had this method be effective once...

the seller has some not so good feedback, huge negative to start
That holder is just so bad, compare it to the actual one from HA auction (reported):

Just in case the auctions get nuked:
peacockcoins
That Dime and holder also complete trash, here is the actual version (from an old DLRC auction photo)

Sure wish that EBay cared at all about staying in the coin business.

(there are counterfeit beans)
edit: (and as we learned in a past counterfeits thread, counterfeit great collections stickers)
Would reporting to PCGS help?
If reporting to PCGS helps, I haven’t seen any confirmation of it.

What is causing the white circles and funny gasket in counterfeits? Did water get in, slab got warm or gasket material breaking down?
Well silly me, EBay says that there is no issue with the 1794 half cent. 🤣🤣
"Item: 388143146770 1794 2/1C Liberty Cap Half Cent PCGS XF40"
"We looked into your report and didn’t find the listing to be in violation of our policy. This determination was made by a customer service agent."
it’s gotten to the (absurd) point that eBay shouldn’t even bother to offer an option to report counterfeits. They make a mockery of it.

an extreme percentage of reports receive this reply
i continue to promote reporting by large numbers of people. i think there is a feeling of "nothing happens anyway" keeping reports away

Looks like he also used Heritage's images to sell his "Trade$"...
