2002 D nickel error question

Hello all. I go to my bank probably twice a month and buy coin rolls and I have found quite a few different interesting errors and when I purchased $20 in nickel rolls I found this 2002 D

nickel that is gunmetal gray all the way around the coin and does not wipe off and also looks like a grease error possibly? I am wondering if someone would let me know what type of error it is and is it worth sending in to have graded. Thank you so much for the info and happy hunting

Looks to me like it spent time in a drier or something to that effect. Post mint damage

@COIN_NUT if you don't like the answers you are getting here, what type of error do you think describes this coin?

If you can't name the error -- and ideally explain why your coin matches the characteristics of that error type -- that's a pretty good sign that it's not an error at all...

Not an error of any kind.

not everyone can tell a discoloration from an improperly annealed planchet and many wouldn't know to call it that
