2026 is the 250th anniversary. not sur if the design choices have been finalized nor what happens in 27
2032 will be the 100th anniversary of the Washington quarter.
I hope we can go back to just a single design, but I think they are planning a series for sports (baseball, football, etc).

2026 will be a series of quarters celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States. You can see the recommendations of the CCAC on an earlier post of mine. However, the Treasury Secretary is welcome to select and change theme/design selections at any time ahead of their production.
2027-2030 will be a series of quarters featuring “youth sports,” as authorized by Congress. The Mint recently concluded a survey of the public to determine which sports were the top preferences.

Youth sports will be an easy pass. There has not been a single design year since 1998, and not a single coin year since 1991 in the Quarters.

All these different reverses every year is getting a little old. Looks like they are now having to dream up themes. The State quarters was a neat idea. The parks series wasn't bad either. A nice 250th theme for 2026 is expected. But it would be nice to have a "normal" quarter again.
Youth sports for circulating quarters? Who thought this is a good idea and who let this happen?
I wish they would use LGF's entire design.
If they want us to have five different designs that's one thing, but at least make one of those designs consistent from year to year for anyone that doesn't want to collect the new series. A quarterly release schedule is easier to follow anyhow.

That would be a great design for a quarter makeover for the 100 aniversary in 2032 while cutting the present design loose. A much more attractive design, and may atone for the 'win' of the current quarter.
I liked the Statehood series, the Parks, and the Women's but I don't get the point of the youth sports....
I would love to see a 1 year run of 250th Anniversary designs, then revert to a standard design until 2032, at which time they do a complete overhaul of the coin design and leave it there until the 300 yr anniversary.
I get it though, they are making money on the various series and it likely has gotten many people into the world of collecting, so it has a been a good thing for the mint. Personally, I have liked most of the designs, but have not collected them per se...just grabbed some of the designs I liked to put away an example of.
How about the 2021 crossing the Delaware?

I loved that design....very clean with lots of detail. Would love to see one with the depth of the pre-90s quarters, when the designs went all flat.
Redesign the classic reverse and move onto dimes.
True story... I always thought it was Truman on the dime.

WCTD was supposed to be the permanent design (from the law) before Congress inserted the AWQ series.

After the 2026 Semi-Demi-Hemi-Centennial quarters, the Mint will begin a five-year tribute to the films of Humphrey Bogart, beginning, of course, with “Casablanca!”
I liked the SQ, for all a year or maybe two. Totally lost interest after that. I resumed collecting in 1998 and it was a nice change from the monotonous eagle reverse. Now I don't even use change, try not to get any back, and have no idea what's on the reverses. I wasn't even aware of the change in the obverse portrait until I read it on this forum.
This pretty much sums it up.
