PCGS First Submission Questions

I just submitted my first two PCGS orders: two Washington quarters for regrade (figured I’d see if they’d upgrade while getting them reholdered) plus eight raw Washington quarters using my eight free vouchers. I have a few questions:

  1. Have you submitted coins in the past two months? How long was your turnaround, and did you get them back yet?

  2. Does writing ‘Club’ on the package (as PCGS suggested) really speed up the process?

  3. Do you get an email confirming they’ve received your package and started grading?

  4. My package was delivered around 12:30 p.m. yesterday, and tracking shows it in their system, but there’s no order showing in my account. How long does that usually take?

  5. TrueView images: I’ve heard they can take an extra few weeks (or even a month) after the coins ship to appear online. Is that true?”**

Are their any other details or things I should know as a first time submitter going through the process for the first time? Thank you!

    Your packaged delivered by USPS tracking? or did you check PCGS track my package and shows accepted. My last submission took a week before coins entered PCGS system. Another couple weeks until showed getting pictured, another couple weeks until grading, A couple weeks until verification then shipped.

    1) Yes, my turnaround times have varied.
    2) It lets them know what service level is there so they know how to prioritize getting packages logged into the system and start moving.
    3) No, but if it shows your packages was received by them, then rest assured they will get to it.
    4) One of my packages did not show as an order for nearly two weeks after they received it. It was economy, though.
    5) That has not been my case. All my orders for the past 8 to 10 months have all had them immediately.

    Both as per USPS and I inputted the tracking into the PCGS tracking package on the site.
