March 2025 Bargain Bin

March 2025 edition of "Bargain Bin".

A great place to buy and sell inexpensive numismatic or exonumia items you might have lying around - the Bargain Bin can yield some interesting and eclectic offerings.

Carrying forward the basic rules:

  • May be any coin, token, or exonumia.
  • Please don't bump last month's. This one will stay active for March '25
  • Nothing over $100.
  • No links to ebay, GC, or any other 3rd party selling venues.
  • Edit your post when the merchandise is sold.
  • No parking. (Posting “coin soon” or “hold” just to be in the top spot)
  • Please post pictures if possible.

Enjoy!

If we were all the same, the world would be an incredibly boring place.

Two Bullion Ecuador Sucre KM# 53.3
1895 LIMA JF FOR SALE New price $38 for both plus shipping.

My personal reference: I recently bought an 1890 Carson from SurfinXHi
I recently sold a pair of slab boxes in the thread.
I have a good ebay reference if needed.

Original coin was 25 grams of .900 silver
    Each now weighs 24 grams.

These have been previously pierced for use in a necklace or keychain, dog tag etc.

My intention is to sell them at approx. spot as bullion for kicks..

I have better ones and don't need these two.

Today the moment 1 OZ. .9999 silver spot is: Ask spot is $34.06 and bid is $33.96

I am asking $38 for both plus actual shipping that you choose. Should be around $6 basic to $9 for flat rate small box.
paypal no fee or zelle. If you must, a check by mail but that will take considerable time to clear.

Incredibly one whole circulated coin sold on ebay for $61
    "Sold Jan 17, 2025
Ecuador 1 Sucre 1895 TF Silver Lima Mint
    $61.00"

To calculate the value of 24 grams of 0.900 silver (90% pure silver), we need to determine the amount of pure silver and then multiply it by the current market price of silver. Silver prices fluctuate daily, so I'll use an approximate price based on recent trends. As of March 18, 2025, let’s assume the price of silver is around $32 per troy ounce (a common market value, though you should check the exact spot price for precision).
    Step-by-Step Calculation:
    1. Determine the pure silver content:
o 0.900 silver means 90% of the weight is pure silver.
    o Pure silver = 24 grams × 0.90 = 21.6 grams.
    2. Convert grams to troy ounces:
    o 1 troy ounce = 31.1035 grams.
    o 21.6 grams ÷ 31.1035 grams/troy ounce = 0.694 troy ounces.
    3. Calculate the value:
o Assuming silver is $32 per troy ounce:
    o Value = 0.694 troy ounces × $32/troy ounce = $22.21.
    Final Answer:
24 grams of 0.900 silver is worth approximately $22.21 at a silver price of $32 per troy ounce. For an exact value, check the current silver spot price from a reliable source like Kitco or a financial market update.

    SOLD and Shipped TO Mustanggt

Thank you JeffrersonFrog for this Bargains Bin thread!!!

    SOLD

My interpretation of Exonumia seems to include these coin slab boxes.
Thread monitor, if this aint so, please delete.

    Two aluminum slab boxes.
Stores 20 PCGS type slabs and other types of same dimension.

These are used but in MS63 condition ! Ha.
They are in very good condition. No damage. No dents or lens scratches etc..

The closest reference I found was a 25 unit box for $23.46 plus tax. and for the 20 slab alum. box $26 each new.

These are perhaps more practical in dimension for safes etc..

12 inch long about 3 3/8 inch wide (not including clasps) about 4 1/8 inch tall

How about $15 for both plus actual shipping.
shipping box dimensions are 11.5 by 13.5 by 5.5 and weighs around 3 lbs.

paypal no fee, zelle. If you must, a check will take alot of time to clear.

I recenly bought a Carson Morgan from SurfinxHI and do have ebay seller references if needed.
