Will PCGS establish a new RPM error on a coin when grading it, that not yet has been recognized?

Nope. PCGS only attributes varieties that are published in certain books and guides.

Luckily, they’ve put together a list of everything they will attribute. https://www.pcgs.com/varietyfaq

Variety Vista will, if it is not already recognized - they also will tell you if you are mistaken and it is machine or ejection doubling

Nope, and I didn't even know it was there (D/D) until someone here on the boards alerted me unfortunately I had already sold it.

And here is another one without the D/D for comparison.

Don't they label unrecognized varieties as "minor variety" or something like that?

IF you pay for Variety Attribution and it is not listed in their reference materials, it could be designated as a "Minor Variety".

    Similar to this one.
