A cool find from an antique mall
Semi-coin related. A pair of bronze eagle "book ends", the eagle's pose is similar to the 1932-98 quarter reverse.

I have not tried separating the eagles from the bases but this is on the bottom of the base.

What might look like "Rev Diamond" on the bottom actually says "New Diamond".

No zip code on the bottom with the address. Zip started in 1963 so possibly made before then?
Ketcham & McDougall was a thimble, jewelry, and novelty manufacturer in Brooklyn, New York that operated from 1832 until at least 1932. They were one of the most well-known thimble makers in the United States.
Very interesting information. I had never seen these before finding a set in the shop. They aren't solid bronze, otherwise they'd be very heavy.
A search for "New Diamond eagle bookends" shows there are several of these available out there, and also reasonably priced. Here's a set on ebay that have a darker marble base https://www.ebay.com/itm/267023425910

My first impression was that it reminded me more of the eagle on the squared quarters privately issued in the 1980's.

That ebay seller is probably wondering, "What the heck is going on with all this activity???"
