My coin, of over 10+ years, is leaving me as I have decided to pare down parts of my collection, which will likely include my Half Cent Everyman's Set I have a PCGS registry set for.
My pride of the set has been this coin. Mark Feld helped me get this coin years ago. I still remember when he called me about it, as I was at my son's basketball game (he was just a little guy back then, in elementary school and is now graduating college!)

It's nicer than the picture shows, just FYI. Has NOT been resubmitted since I have owned it.

Current bid is still way low, so I think people are putting in placeholder bids (I've never sold on HA before, so just guessing).

    I have 2 of them, which one?
    Short answer is "yes", but I will keep one of them, depending what someone may like and the price.
    The one I keep will be my "type" coin for half cents after all is said and done.

    In my set, I have a VF20, CAC Green, that is really nice. Bought it 15 years ago from JJTeaparty (Gail and team).
    That's the one I am most likely to sell.

    I also have a VG08 PCGS CAC Green that I bought raw from a local EAC dealer almost 20 years ago, then had it slabbed and CACed.

    Nice one! I just bought a VF30 with a bean. I think your coin will do well - there’s still a long time left. Btw, there’s one that ends tomorrow nite on GC - that bid is $11k+ & has no bean.

    Thanks for pointing it out. Strange how it goes for awhile without seeing, then 2 of them pop up so close together.
    I just looked at that one and can understand. I hope the seller does well though. These are great coins that have to have stories behind them, to have lasted so long!

    It's stalled out cheap, so far.

    If you were ever interested in the first year for actual US minted coins, and one with all the details and a nice planchet, especially considering how so many of them in that period look, this may be your time to get one!!!

    Mark Feld steered you right on this coin! You will get full market price on this half cent indeed. Too bad I do not collect these half cents. The cheaper the coin is bid at near the end the more active the live bidding will be! Do not worry.

    Why are you selling this half cent now that your son is finishing College?

    Combination of reasons.
    Future health and son may go grad school (CS market not great right now) plus wife wants to retire. So, divesting, little by little, of many of my coins.
    Kind of started when I allowed my 55DDO to be sold a few years back. Made it easier to let some go.

    The only thing I haven't liked so far are the pictures. I really think the coin looks much better inhand than what the pictures show.
