Yea, I saw that this morning.

Just a hunch based on no information, but these illegals gangs, when they do a home invasion, they kill everyone, including the wife, children, etc. They certainly don't care about human life, and don't want any witnesses.

A great actor, including starring in at least one sports movie.

    RIP

I wonder what defines "foul play"?

Definitely seems as though there was some tragic series of events. I saw a story about looking at the possibility of a natural gas leak. She was only 63. He was 95 and I doubt whether any health issues he may have had would have been public. Apparently,
they had 3 German Shepherds. If
something catastrophic happened to her, I could see an extreme situation with him and the dog, if it was confined, being helpless.

Regardless, very sad. Hoosiers is a tremendous movie.

Just like his famous line in "Unforgiven" it seems Gene and his wife Betsy didn't deserve whatever happened. His indelible mark on our culture will remain for a long time.

    RIP to them both.

I clearly stated "based on no information" and in today's world, that could not be a possibility to be ruled out. These gangs have targeted rich people for quite some time. You may have heard about the Mahomes and Kelce homes being robbed. Fortunately the players were not at home when it happened, or they may have not been alive to participate in the Super Bowl.

Suffice to say you need to start paying closer attention to what is happening out there. But don't worry, things are rapidly getting better, much better. 😊

He did clearly state "based on no information". I think stevek is just trying to antagonize reasonable people, which is fine in this environment.

It's "illegals" gangs. Which was clearly stated

Yea, just pretend they don't exist. Would be nice to live in your fantasy world. LOL

  • bgrbgr Posts: 2,473 ✭✭✭✭✭

I think the right way to classify them is as a "criminal gang". The "alien" or "illegal" association is unnecessary. It forces me to assume that if these "gangs" did not include any "illegals" that they would be fine. No one says "legal gangs are terrorizing the countryside". To reference illegals makes it a political statement, and intelligent people don't make political statements.

They got Hurricanes qb (just transferred from Georgia) Carson Beck's new place in Miami recently as well. Evidently he has a very nice car collection.

Dodgers players have been having their houses robbed during games for years now.

Problem with being a pro athlete is everyone knows when you arent home. They wait for the athletes to go to a game to do it.

Unless something isnt being said its unlikely this was one of those cases with his pacemaker stopping almost two weeks ago. It sounds kinda like he might have died then she killed herself

The question no one is asking is how the Illegals Gangs are able to control the pacemakers of aged celebrities. This is not only based on no information but it may even contain wild speculation. I think that they’re using space lasers.

I assume the dog will have an autopsy as well. Possibly consumed by accident some fallen off the counter pills. Since gas leak or carbon monoxide has been ruled out a different cause of death to the dog will be determined. Possibly natural causes coincidence. Don't think the wife had anything to do with the dogs death.

Watched "Runaway Jury" last night which is a good example of the type of character Gene Hackman portrayed so well. It also stars Dustin Hoffman who "came up" through the ranks with Hackman and Robert Duvall. Can you imagine the nights those three spent together as aspiring actors who appeared to be going nowhere??

Wow, to be the 4th spoke on that wheel. :p

The dog that died was locked into a crate in the same bathroom the wife was dead in. The dog died because it couldn't get water. The other two dogs in the house lived and had access to outside since the doors were left open. (or the dogs opened them during the week they were alone.

Two guesses. She thought their bodies would have been found sooner, so didn't realize keeping the dog in the crate put it at mortal peril.
Or the dogs were small details that slipper her mind since she was busy doing a murder suicide.

Lot's of unfounded, wild speculation going on here.

  • craig44craig44 Posts: 11,567 ✭✭✭✭✭

this all certainly sounds suspicious. I suppose it is possible that 2 people would have fatal heart attacks or strokes within minutes of each other. I think the chances of that happening are pretty slim though.

Carbon monoxide and CO2 have been ruled out.
The odds that they both died close enough to each other that neither called the police is 0%.
No forced entey or sign of a intruders.
    No struggle.

It's speculation, but it's not wild or unfounded.

They initially said her body was "Mummified" which meant she had been dead longer than him. Media has reported 59 different versions of the dead dog....locked in the bathroom, locked in a closet, locked in a room, locked in a crate, etc. Media had said there was a lot of pills all over the floor. Then they reported only a few on the counter. Then they reported only a few near her body on the floor. I think it's safe to say that we might not ever know exactly what happened and certainly not until all lab work and autopsy results are finalized. Sometimes things are very weird with no clear answers ever. He was 791 years old and I heard that he was failing. She was 63 going on 98 and I had heard that she was not with it either. It is very possible that she had a medical event and he had fallen over the next bunch of days and had no way of helping himself. If he was mentally incapacitated then he couldn't call anyone possibly. He was also estranged from his family from what we are being told. Being as rich as I assume he was, they should have had some regular visits or check ins by homecare aids or something. The whole thing is awful. He was a very entertaining actor.

"He was also estranged from his family"

Meaning his chiseling family members wanted money from him, and he wouldn't give it to them.

That will be the second story coming. Who gets the estate?

Yes but they also said her body was directly next to a space heater. She could have been partially Mummified from the constant heat.

It's sad that in 1997(?) that Indiana went to a class system (like most everyone else) so these kind of "Hoosiers" underdog stories are no longer possible in Indiana...but it can still happen in Kentucky's Sweet 16! And would you believe for my HS alma mater (Daviess County) BOTH our boy's AND girl's teams are going to Rupp Arena this year? :) Maybe one or both can bring home the big trophy!
