Coin World's Collectors' Clearinghouse recycling old columns

For the last few months, Coin World has been reprinting my old columns. I stopped submitting new material in November after they fell 4 1/2 months behind in paying me. So, after 16 years of uninterrupted productivity, it looks like I may need to find a new writing or consulting gig. I'm open to any offers or suggestions. -- Mike Diamond

Always enjoyed your contributions and read them each week. Good luck in going forward. Wish you nothing but the best.

Sorry to hear that. I have been saving your columns.

Best of luck finding a new venue, @errormaven .

I worked with Mike for nearly the entirety of his service as a valued contributor during my long career at Coin World, until my retirement at the end of 2023. I could always count on Mike to provide interesting and educational "Collectors' Clearinghouse" columns; I don't think he ever missed a deadline. Coin World's loss of him as a columnist will be felt for years.

CCC was the first section I would always turn to when I received my CW. Learned a lot.

Mike- I'm late to the game here. I see your recent thread was closed! 😡 🤬

So articles we see in CW from here on out (4 July 26) will be old recycled articles from you?.. Correct?

You asked for other opinions or suggestions. If you haven't already considered. How about: The Numismatist or The E-Sylum?

A recycled article appeared in this Friday's online edition. How long they'll keep this up is for Coin World's owner to determine. The last time it went on for a year.

Yes, it says so on the bottom in tiny print: "From Sept. 13, 2021"

You should create your own facebook forum, you know open membership not a private venue. Like ECIE was, freewheeling.

I miss being on Joe's forum but I got tossed, never knew why. Kinda thought it was liberal postings on my personal facebook. Just a guess as I was never told. Steve & Joe both enjoyed posting their politics on their own personal facebook pages. Why not send me a private message here @Mr Lindy ?

Is Joe done republishing his error book versions with different pretty pictures? I bought 3 of 5 he issued.

I have no great desire to supervise a new Facebook group. There are already too many. I'm told that you're now welcome back in Joe's group. I'm not sure when the next (and declared final) edition of Joe Cronin's error book will be released.
