Never got the memo on annual error coin or fantasy acquisition goals, but I like the thought of this exercise/thread.

Over the decades when I see something available I may or may not buy it.

Most of what you buy, if shared, will not be seen thru your excited eyes, ever. People will simply want to know:
    What's it worth ???

Acquire nice investment grade coins MS64 or higher.

Complete my Seated dollar set, just need a 71-CC. Still doing an occasional upgrade. I should add I have no intention of including a 70-S. I enjoy being married. :)

"I don't generally buy anything anymore that doesn't instill in me a certain degree of awe, a voice from the younger collector in me who can scarcely believe he gets to own something like this."
    Great statement Bill!

"Out of your collection, what coins would you put into your BOX of 20 (or 40)?"

The coins in my boxes of 20 or going to 40 plus. Are coins that I LOVE to look at and say: Da--e that's a nice coin --PQ for eyeappeal, or strike, or toning, or , best I have ever seen for look. As Bill Fivas once said : parphrasing-- there are PQ coins in every grade. THEY MAY BE COMMON, OR SCARCE OR RARE. MANY TYPES U.S. OR WORLD COINS, TOKENS, MEDALS , EVEN DETAILS COINS ARE AMONG THEM. A few from father , great grandfather. Etc.
They Will be the last coins I sell or pass on if wanted.

Collect the few series I am currently working on (still have a few years to go) then upgrade coins for a few years after that. I collect Latin American coins but once my series are done or close to done (minus the upgrading part) will continue my US dime set 1796-1916 this will take the rest of my life even in lower grades G-04 to F-12.

@TheGoonies1985 . Good luck on your quest. Much of my recent and hopefully future collecting is centered on Dimes also. However my focus is on 1837 to 1840 Seated Dimes by Fortin variety. James
