Pics like these make me glad I'm a collector and not a dealer who sells coins using TV pics.
If you get both right, you should change your name to Albanese.
Hint #1 - These are straight-graded coins.
Hint #2 - No, really. These are straight graded.

Tough one! I’ll guess 53 for the $10, 55 for the $20.
I try to look for cheek wear and shield wear. Lotsa clatter, but I can’t see cheek wear.
MS62 for the ten.
MS60 for the twenty.
Id love to say MS on the first, but way too much chatter, 58 nope, 55 is my guess.

Difficult to offer an opinion mainly because I am having trouble with the surfaces. My opinion may change after an in hand review. 50 on the 54-s and 45 on the 1864

They look like old time EF-45's.
Based only on the images, I would probably call them AU-50's.
My guess is they are graded in the AU-55 to 58 range.

I would grade the $20 as AU-50 but fearing that PCGS would grade it AU-53 or even AU-55.
I grade the $10 as AU-50 to borderline AU-53 as. Little nicer than the $20 coin. Again, I believe PCGS would grade it AU-53 to AU-55.

Both 55. Too many marks for MS60.
Au55 on both. Seems like decent luster from the Pics.
53 for both IMO. I like them both at 53 and MAYBE on a Friday the $10 at 55 would look acceptable to me in a holder.

If I had to guess based on these pics, I would have guessed XF Details. Just too much going on in the fields.
Both are 53. The eagle looks better in hand. I don't mind slightly beat up coins that haven't been messed with too much (good color and luster on both of these help too). The government got their money's worth with these coins since it looks like they were well used.
One last question - If you didn't already know these were straight graded, would that have changed your guesses?

Interesting detective work… They are the same coin. Perhaps more will see and agree that there is a subjective component to grading.
