My type set 1-12-25

Backstory.
I started making this post years ago with the idea of following my progress.
I wanted to be able to see my progress in both the coins and photography over the years.
You may or may not be able to find the past threads.

At first it was going to be a yearly thread but it is very time consuming and maybe I'm a bit lazy.
It takes several days to make a post like this.

I started out with the idea of an XF set.
It seems many others settle on that grade too so I decided that I could find VF coins more easily.
After that hurdle was over I started in and have been in that grade range ever since.
A few coins here may be a bit higher grade, very few lower.

I also wanted them to have a uniform look. My tastes have changed over the years and there has been lots of swapping out.
I have also sold some nice coins from the set. Yeah, I do dumb stuff fairly regularly.

Main goals are uniform grade and look. I prefer mostly mark free coins which makes it tougher.
I will never be done with it as there are very few coins here that I am 100% happy with.
It has been a pleasant diversion for the last ten years or so and I have enjoyed looking for these.

I culled a few duplicates during the making of this thread.
There are a couple duplicates left in by design. For anyone so inclined they can tell me which they think fits better.

There is a little bit of everything included. Key dates, overdates, over mintmarks, laminations, etc.
This set isn't about slabs or stickers or registries. Just the coins and the joy of searching for them.

I hope you enjoy them. Comments are welcome and appreciated.

For the smart alecs who like quoting posts with this many pics, please try to refrain this time.

Looks great, nice circulated Type set. I really like Type sets where the coins all match in grade and appearance. Darn prongs though

REMARKABLE consistency!! The diligence and care you took to select the right coins is evident, and this set is more of an accomplishment than haphazardly assembled sets of much higher grades. And I'm a big fan of your CC 20c:

Well hell. That's a great looking type set. I assume they are in a Dansco?

No. Some slabbed, some in 2 x 2 's, some in self slabs. A couple I keep in my change jar for safe keeping. :)

That was not easy! I can really see the effort you put into that set. That took time and a lot of thought. OUTSTANDING!

Great looking set. I must say it's weird to see some of the coins in circulated condition. You did a great job matching the look and grade on each coin.

Incredible, well-matched set. Is this a 7070? If so will there be a Classic cent?

I sort of just include coins that I want. More comprehensive than a 7070.
I have been looking for the right classic cent for years. Just haven't run across it.
Came close a few times but always found something I didnt like.
As you know, it will be the priciest coin there so I want THE one.
