First FUN show

I drove down from Daytona and attended my first FUN show. I was literally blown away. The size and scope of the show is amazing. Spent 3 1/2 hours on floor and didnt cover the entire show. Picked up 2 Franklins, 2 War Nix, a BTW and a Buff. Nothing very expensive but nice coins. It was fun!!!! Saw John from Scarsdale coins ( fellow Westchester resident) and chatted with the Great Collection folks. Definitely will go again next year

    The first time on a FUN Show bourse is utterly mind-blowing! Stockdude, how was the traffic going from Daytona to Orlando? Coming from the West Coast was a bear...

    Curiously, seeing as how you were “literally blown away”, what was the wind speed and how far did it take you? 😉

    Traffic was fine going down. Maybe lost 10 minutes going back home due to an accident on I-4

    LOL. Actually walking to the Center from the parking lot it was extremely windy. Too windy for golf but perfect for a show

    In 4 1/2 DAYS , I was not able to cover the entire show.

    What blows my mind is the total market value of the coins in the bourse at FUN. I estimate $500M to a billion dollars' worth of coins, bullion, and currency in that room. The coins you'll see there are amazing.

    What always blows my mind at that show is just the sheer volume of how many coins are available. But then to adjust the perspective, I think if you take out the Morgans, the generic gold, the moderns, late date walkers, etc., I again appreciate the coins that are actually scarce.
