@allnewsanchor yes…PerryHall is correct. It is the rim that knocked it down. Also a small hit on the cheek. Otherwise, a spectacular Eagle with clean, slight orange peel fields.

I noticed the rim tick, Perry. Did not see any hairlines. But even if there is/are one or two... should that knock that beauty down to a 62?
Hairlines are definitely a grading factor and its impact on the grade will depend on the severity, location, and the judgement of the grader. I think that rim bruise on the reverse is what brought it down to a 62 but overall, that is a very attractive coin.

2024 was the most productive year for me. I consolidated much of my collection into just a few pieces. Trying to get a set of earily dollars and started it strong with this flowing hair. I also wanted one ultra cameo dmpl morgan and I think I found the one I'll keep for a while. Looking forward to FUN to ring in a new year!

Always regretted it, and it taught me a lesson - if you can’t stop checking on it, just buy it.

I immediately thought Carr as well, but the look threw me off...I always picture his coins as flawless BU, but this one had many little marks in the surfaces? PS I am a fan of Carr's coins.
Bought on Ebay ($300 purchase) a graded (very dark) AU coin, (that I had strong suspicions it was an MS) cracked it out, dipped it and sent it for grading again (different company)......came back ms64 and sold for $3800.

Hopefully he or the OP will pop up to clarify. I thought the same thing regarding marks in the field. But I think the coins were overstruck on real T$s...maybe this one was lightly struck and a lot of original surface abrasions survived? Or maybe @Bullsitter or some prior owner used it as a pocket piece?

Some really neat coins in this thread. 2024 was a net downsizing year for me, but I did pick up a handful, with these two the best.
Władysław II the Exile, Denar, 1140s. So tiny, yet detailed. Similar but smaller and better made than a contemporary English penny.
1711/2 Taler NGC 63. This one may be my favorite of the year.
