How long has Great Collections taken for "Regular" grading submissions for you?

I sent in a bunch of raw coin consignments to GC over the summer and while my foreign submissions have been relatively prompt the US ones are taking a while.
Here are the submissions I am waiting on:
June 13th - Regular
July 12th - Express
July 12th - Regular
I asked support a month or two ago and they just said they were being processed and didn't provide additional details like submission number to allow me to track myself.
I understand there is an additional layer of processing by going through GC as well as PCGS probably deprioritizes their submissions due to the deep discount, but 5-6+ months is a long time to have inventory tied up for.
What have your guys turnaround been with raw coin consignments lately?

Not only are the regular submission wait times unacceptable, the express service wait is over the top ridiculous.
Thanks for the heads up as to what not to have GC handle for me. I doubt that their discount to GC is all that "deep".
I will be consigning with them soon, but all coins are already slabbed.
Good luck with your sale!
I can only assume the express one was just accidentally submitted as regular but it's been difficult getting information about the status other than they're in process.
Hi Abby,
I have only submitted certified coins to GC but whenever I have special requests or requirements of any kind, I find that Raeleen and Ian are very responsive. Have you tried reaching out to Raeleen directly?
Tim
I haven't, Ive talked to Ian directly a few times about consignments, but didn't want to bother him if this was normal.
This is not the same thing, but I did submit an order of one coin for regular service, but emailed PCGS about changing the service level to Express. Got a response pretty swiftly. The order log is received 10/10 and shipped 10/24. So long story short, I would be a little curious/concerned the express submission through GC has not been completed. Hope it all works out!
I would have thought that GC, Stacks, and HA submissions were prioritized by PCGS as it’s somewhat of a special relationship within the industry.
I gave GC 1 Buffalo nickel I had to grade and sell at FUN last January. I'm pretty sure I had the check in hand sometime in April. I was pleased with the turnaround time.
I sent GC a Canadian 1c variety a couple of years ago. There was prompt turn turn-over with PCGS and it went to auctions a few weeks after they received it back. I think overall it took 6-8 weeks.
For what its worth, NGC has had a submission of mine since the middle of July! I have called twice and am told they should be ready by the end of the year. It was a world economy(my mistake). Its beyond annoying but beyond my control. It was estimated to be a 60 day turn around when I sent it in, but that has changed to over 90 days. I will not send another one again that way. I have already sent and received back a couple of other submissions on their regular tier!
i sent some for anacs grading and it took about 3 months
“I haven't, Ive talked to Ian directly a few times about consignments, but didn't want to bother him if this was normal.”
Since you probably know that Ian literally responds to every single thread on this message board involving GC, you must realize he will likely now spend more time on your personal matter via this thread than if you had simply asked him about your submissions in your direct communications with him.
Wondercoin.
I have seen him respond in threads, yes, although he doesn't seem to be super active and I don't know how often he checks here.
Ultimately I was going to reach out to him anyway if other peoples' experiences were dissimilar to mine. And if it was the norm, a response from him might be beneficial to future consigners who are wondering about turnaround times on raw coins.
I consigned a raw US submission to GC this summer: received June 18, graded at NGC, listed at auction October 1.
Thanks for the data point, that's the timeline that I would expect, and that's about the time that it's taken for my World coin submissions. I wasn't sure if US processing times have been different but sounds like mine are just outliers.
Ive reached out to support again for another status update and if I don't get anything meaningful I'll reach out to Ian directly after the new year. I don't think I'd want them listed soon anyway with the holidays.
Appreciate everyone's input.
