I'm very happy to report that I obtained a significant new coin for my Indian Quarter Eagle set (all must be in OGH with CAC - I wanted that challenge). Given my requirements for ownership, I knew this key date would be a tough find both in terms of my budget and availability. When looking at the CAC stickered pop report, there are 12 at XF45 and 2 at XF40, none lower. Out of these, it is unknown how many are in PCGS old green holders.

And so when I saw it listed at a dealer marketing it over the weekend when they were closed, I solicited Dan @PeakRarities to work his magic to help me secure the coin. A BIG thanks to my buddy!

    Thanks Tom, but my PCGS registry does not allow me to list several coins since their CAC link is broken so you won't see the updates. So, the set with all coins thus far is visible at CACG's registry.

    Great CAC set with all OGH being a very tough goal and that is a great pickup.

    I have a hard time finding good deals on CAC upgrades in any holder for my set.

    Congratulations. I bought an AU55 1911 strong D about 2 months ago to complete my set. The other 14 had been sitting incomplete for a few years before the right opportunity presented itself. I really love this set for the design and Americana that surrounds it.

    I bought a great book “The Gold Indians” by Allan Schein that gives lots of history and details on each year - mintage, survival rates, population, etc. Again congratulations you have the key, and the rest are a bit easier and less expensive to come by.

    My complete Indian quarter eagle set, all in CAC, is on the way to GC now. Most are 64+ in older blue labels, but one of my OGH for your quest, is not CAC yet, but it is on the way to them for a look.

    Good luck. I like your idea. I am mostly looking for CAC and/or OGH combo $10's Indians now.

    Wow! Not messing around now. You secured the stopper of the set….the rest will be comparatively easy. That is once you get those coffers filled again.

    Thanks Bob. The 1920's in OGH w/CAC are the easiest. The others are still challenging in this combination.

    The cool thing about these intaglio coins is that they look so nice at lower grades down to 58.
