I have never seen one of these with an R Prefix, not to mention this bar looks exceptionally nice, it has really nice cameo contrast. I don’t know what the R means, but it obviously was made with fresh dies?

Anyway, I’m happy to add it to my collection!

    I cant remember off hand who, but there is a company making JM bars currently. I think this is one of the new production pieces. Either way quality stuff at spot is a good buy.

    Not sure when it was made, but I got this one in January of '23.

    Are you talking about the new poured ones? I’ve seen those on eBay and I’ve messaged the sellers asking the source, but no one seems to have any answers for me.

    I’m just now seeing this, those are a little concerning! They look quite a lot like the originals from the early 80s, I can tell they’re slightly different. I can spot that stuff, but a lot of people would not know the difference!

    Looking at the wrapper around it, I’m wondering if those are being made by sunshine?

    I assume they’re legit, but it’s very interesting. This is the same type of bar but an original from the early 80s:

    If you look closely, there are differences in the font, but they are very minor plus, like mentioned, a serial number on the early one.
