An insane line. Went 6-for-6 with 3HR, 10 RBI and 2 SB. Crazy way to get to 51/51. Dude is a beast!!

Best baseball player I've seen in my lifetime. Just unbelievable!

"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

    Superhuman.

He is the best baseball player I have ever seen as well. Additionally, he chose to defer his contract so the Dodgers could sign Yamamoto and give them an even better chance to win.

    A true 1/1.

He’s not even the best baseball player of 2024 let alone my lifetime. If he had pitched this year probably but he’s just a DH

Yeah but he was better than Judge last year.

Enjoy both if you're a fan. You may not see their likes again your lifetime!

True. I would say it’s too soon to say who has the best career. 50/50 is amazing but Judge kind of gets forgotten afterwards and people start saying Ohtani is the best of all time.
My opinion right now is that Ohtani just hasn’t pitched enough games yet to be clearly better than Judge. That could change in the future.

Groo that’s an excellent point. I really hope they both stay away from injuries for the duration of their careers.

They both seem to be good dudes so I hope they have long careers and break all kinds of records. It's a joy getting to see them play.

Judge is on the same level as Ohtani for sure and from a hitters perspective I think him and Pujols are the two best hitters of the 21st century so far. But, when I say the greatest baseball player it's a guy that every other baseball player marvels at. Ohtani is almost mythical now.

He comes to the US and decides he wants to be a 2-way player and pitch and hit which has not been done since Babe Ruth. He gets 3 MVP's and is considered one of the best pitchers in the league including a 4th place finish in the Cy Young in 2022.

Then he decides he wants to become the first 50/50 player at the beginning of the season. He does that as well.

When you accomplish things at the highest level that were once thought not possible it puts you in a whole different category.

Barry Bonds 500/500 club. Wonder if Ohtani will reach that milestone?
