Incorrect, it was found "on a parking lot".
LOL!! I am corrected.
Heh, most people cannot be bothered to bend over to pick up one off the ground, but I will: I collect Lincoln varieties [and errors].
Re: 'on vs. in' a parking lot reminds me of something I heard years ago regarding taking sick days from work. Most people "call in" whereas people in the midwest "call out" [or something similar].
A name from the past:Frank Spadone.
I think the use of the word "on" in the sub-headline is a mechanical error since within the article it says "in a parking lot".
Frank Spadone was an error specialist. The coin was found in East Orange, NJ. Frank Spadone's shop was in East Orange, NJ. Anyone else smell something rotten here?

Back then a penny was worth a penny, not today!
I also found some of the articles on that page very interesting.

You call in to the office, while calling out from whatever you’re making the call. 😉

People will pick up a nickel, but not 5 cents laying in a group on the ground.
Sounds fishy to me.
Or being indoors means within the doors, or inside being within the sides. Yet, insane is not within sanity, but quite the opposite. Don’t even get me started on inflammable vs flammable - same damn thing.
I’m a firm believer, in not believing, in “coincidences.”
Having fun while switching things up and focusing on a next level PCGS slabbed 1950+ type set, while still looking for great examples for the 7070.
I don't believe in conspiracies but I also don't believe in coincidences.
