I will go there someday. My mother's maiden name was Dollar which is Scottish. The word and monetary unit dollar is derived from German thaler, and dollar is supposedly an English spelling, but I believe more specifically Scottish, using the established surname and other Scots usage of the word dollar. On my bucket list of research projects.
