    This is much better than the 79 PSA 10 Eckersley we discussed a couple of weeks ago. I still can't believe PSA gave that card the first PSA 10 ever.

    I think the two (2) cards (1979 Eckersley PSA-10 and 1976 Space...PSA-9) are equally bad grades...

    That "9" is like Exhibit Seven Trillion in the case against being a Grade Queen. The two things that cause most card hobbyists unnecessary aggravation are being overly hung up grades and prices.

    Hmmm. I've never known a Grade Queen. But, I imagine I could get kinda cozy with one at the Sports Card Mardi Gras.

    I had a pack fresh card with great corners and centering like that and I got a 4.

    Compare the images of that one to the ones in the PSA certs database for certs within a few numbers higher and a few numbers lower. Other cards from that set that were in the same sub/order are 5's and 6's. Using the zoom feature, this one does not seem worthy of being 3 or 4 grades higher than its peers that were judged by the same grader.

    It’s pretty obviously a mechanical error. I’m more concerned with all the 9s that have appreciable corner wear, which is much harder to explain away.
