Looks like he went off the deep end a little too deep recently.

This is very unfortunate. When I first got here, he was a friendly voice around here who started so many great threads. I often looked forward to logging on evenings after work to see what the next DD great thread would be. He really kept this place hopping especially during football season. It's too bad, while I agree with most here that DD went overboard lately, I'm still going to miss his presence here. Happy trails DD.

    RIP
He did get to 23,000 comments before they dropped the ban hammer.

I stated my feelings about him in the Olympic thread, I was his biggest fan for a long time but his act and unstable personality grew old and just turned me off

If the kid is legit in need of help and it's not just attention getting childish behavior then I wish him well and hope he gets whatever he needs to get better.

Some of us contributed to DD's fund raising effort for the deceased forum member's family funeral expenses, who according to DD was his boxing topic buddy, as well as a great member here.

Perhaps for whatever reason, DD expected a lot more contributions? In any event he never seemed quite the same after all that, and then as we know eventually went off the deep end.

Social media can be a trap. Friendly at first and then it turns.

Don't know much about Dragon, but he seemed to put a lot of effort into this forum. Wish him the best.

I bumped heads with DD when he first appeared, tried to encourage him to slow down a little. His response was that the place was dead and his mission as he saw it was to keep it afloat.

It strikes me as odd now that many of the same members who anointed him as ruler of the sports forum are now excoriating him for his views. This is indeed a tough place to fit in, but it's easy enough with some restraint and common sense. That last tirade was apparently the proverbial last straw.

    I wish him well. B)

i wish he had found a happy medium

clearly there are trials and tribulations transpiring in his personal life and i hope he conquers them

Since you brought it up and I'm one of the guys your referring too without straight up saying my name I will address this

First off yes I do excoriate him for his views simply because of his ultra aggressive post and verbally attacking everyone here, that in itself is reason enough

It's a 2 way street of accepting and respecting other views but apparently its not that way with DD, which ofcourse is typical for that side of the fence btw so yes I'm done with him and anyone else that refuses to maintain a civil and reasonable way of expressing his or her views

I spent many a moments in private messages to DD talking him out of quitting and to calm down until it got to be a crybaby take my ball and go home theme all too often

It grew tiresome and it got flat out bizarre, again I hope the kid gets help if he needs it but other than that I don't care to engage him ever again

    It doesn't irritate me.

It has nothing to do with sports and is nothing more than rumor mongering and water cooler nonsense.

Get a life? I would suggest those commenting in this thread are the ones who need to touch grass.

Dragon's final post in the Test forum seemed ominous.

I couldn't stand him from day 1, blocked him and do not miss him. He thought he was our "savior", but he was just a childish know it all.

Hopefully, he will someday mature into an adult.

@perkdog, my main point was to highlight how far and fast his fall seemed to be, akin to going over a cliff. He seemed to me to jump/fall off and hit nothing on the way down. Strange.

I think he went off a cliff several times and was always welcomed back until it got to be just one too many times

Maybe it was because his Carolina Panthers are so absolutely pathetic. He just couldn't take it any longer. Being an NFL fan can do that to you.

I know, I'm a big Eagles fan and some seasons they drove me crazy. One season I almost gave up drinking and wild women. Almost. 😉

His boxing thread was a fun read and I respect the effort and time he put into that.

This thread is quite the monument to his impact here. What will the story be in 3000 years. Will there be a book? A movie?

Mistlin - you know you don't actually have to read threads that don't interest you right?

Definitely not Joe Stalin around here now. He had his own unique style which i would recognize immediately. Besides when he got banned, he soon came back under a new name and didn't really hide the fact who he was. I'm not sure if that new name was banned or not, but when he came back he never was nearly as prolific as he was before. Maybe it was 3 or 4 years ago, he came back for one quick post in my Eagles thread for the season. after his Bucs won a game.

You may be right though about Axtel. The funniest thing I recall about Axtel is he once posted a pic of a car he bought, a purple Mini-Cooper. I called it the ugliest looking car I've ever seen, and he hated that. He was so proud of that car. 😂

Your right actually I'm going with Axtel for sure.

And yes I remember the Mini Cooper I think it was Stown that found him on Facebook somehow and grabbed the picture I don't think he posted a pic of his car

He lost me in the horse racing thread. Definitely had an Identity crisis and it seems Timmy took over in the end.
