Dark toned Peace dollars like this one often get "environmental damage"
The coin looks much better in hand than my pics show imo.
I'd say yes.
My first thought is that Peace dollars like this often come back from PCGS as ED (Environmental Damage). It would depend upon if the coin has granularity on its surfaces in-hand.

I see no luster in the photos so I would bet on ED and no cross, if there is some luster that doesn't show in these photos then maybe.

Why do peace dollars seem to age like no other silver coin? It is almost like they are compromised of a unique alloy.
If I liked it that much, I would enjoy it in the holder it's in.
PCGS would probably note some kind of deficiency with this piece. Is it worth trying to cross? I don't think so. Too risky. The coin is not even worth the grading fee imo. Let it be.
