Vatican 1929 100 Lire//grades back- 6/7/2024

1929 100 L PCGS Grade: MS66 MY Grade: 30% MS65 70%-MS66

This coin has nice surfaces and remains part of a 1929 Vatican Mint Set. I did not have the box. The decision to submit was fairly straight forward. I had previously submitted a 1934 that graded 64- the '29 is the better coin. This series (1929-35) features a nice portrait of the Pope. There are 6 different dates with low mintages with an uncertain survival rate and contain about 1/4 oz of gold. These are not that difficult to find. Seems to offer a challenge for those interested in 20th century gold beyond typical bullion.
