New member; bought my first decent PSA card (Mantle). Look forward to learning from you

Like many of you, I collected as a kid and had a whole host of nice cards that are long gone. Recently caught the bug again to pick up some select cards that I’ve always admired

As a long-time fan of the 56 Topps set, I figured I’d start with the Mantle and pulled the trigger on this one pictured.

I enjoying scrolling through the many interesting threads and look forward to reading and learning more from the members here.

Cheers!
Douglas in Phoenix

Thank you! Appreciate the warm welcome. I’m going to be patient and learn before leaping. My aim is to get the 1956 Topps Yankees and Dodgers cards in higher grades and centered with excellent eye appeal; I like the lore of those teams in mid-50s WS battles; and the breadth of solid players they had.

You are definitely on the right track. Ive seen a ton of 56 mantles and that is a very nice 6 for the grade. Focusing on HOF's with excellent eye appeal and centering is a good plan! Looking forward to some of your future acquisitions.

Great choice on Mantle. J. Robinson and Berra would be good choices for future.
