Dennis Tucker Retiring as Whitman Publisher.

Congratulations on a distinguished career and may you have many more (or at least as many as you want).

I've always been very impressed by the man and his work. I might take Redbook to task on occasion but it's a far better publication for his efforts.

After the Whitman was sold, I expect this will come.

    Congrats DenTuck!

Not to be selfish but now I'm REALLY worried if we're ever going to see the next CPG!!

Thank you, friends and fellow hobbyists. It’s been quite an adventure — nineteen years in a job I never would have dreamed of when I was a kid starting out in coin-collecting!

I plan on attending shows and look forward to now actually having time to stroll the bourse as a collector. Wave me down and say hi if you see me.

P.S. As for the Cherrypickers’ Guide, we’re wrapping up the sixth edition, volume III, next month and it’ll be out this summer.

And watch for new books and products from Whitman Brands. It’s a great time to be a collector.

I knew you even before you got famous.

Every time I think it's the best time in history to be a coin collector I find out that it just keeps getting better.

I'll be watching for the Cherrypickers' that also seems to get better and better.

Whitman holds a special place in my heart, as I grew up on their blue folders & never graduated from them. In fact, finding obsolete & foreign Whitman folders in a local Mom & Pop coin shop is what led to my expanding my horizons & collection into many Dark Side (mostly pre-decimal) areas.

I was flattered quite a few years ago when Dennis reached out to me for my help in reviewing & making suggestions regarding soon-to-be released Canadian folders. Never in a million years did I expect that, but it meant a lot to me.

Congrats, Dennis, on your retirement & enjoy strolling the Bourse as a retiree/collector!

@DBSTrader2 and we must be brothers from a different mother. I also had a very similar experience with Whitman and Mr. Tucker. Like many of us, it was always the Whitman folders and the Red Book as kids.

I was also asked to make a contribution soon-to-be released book. I was pleasantly surprised when a handwritten note and copy of the book arrived at my door from Dennis.
